SEO & Site Speed Overhaul

Following a professional SEO audit (the site scored 28/100 on mobile speed), we made the improvements it flagged and then went further — the site is now set up to rank better in Google search and loads dramatically faster on phones.

Search visibility (SEO)

• Google-readable business info — added structured data so Google can understand your hours, address, services, and FAQs well enough to potentially show them directly in search results.
• Better page titles & descriptions — rewrote what shows up in Google search results and when the site is shared on social media.
• Sitemap added — gives Google a direct map of every page on the site so nothing gets missed when it crawls.
• 5 new neighborhood pages — dedicated pages for Bethesda, Rockville, Silver Spring, Germantown, and Potomac, each with its own local content, to help the site show up for searches in those specific areas.

Mobile speed

• Background video shrunk 76% — from ~5MB down to ~1.2MB, with no visible drop in quality, so the homepage loads much faster on mobile data.
• Photos resized and compressed — several images were being served far larger than they're ever displayed; fixed across the board.
• Removed a slow third-party script — replaced a bulky, general-purpose styling library with a lean, custom-built version that does the same job in a fraction of the size.
• Instagram & quote form now load on demand — instead of loading on every single visit whether someone reaches them or not, they now only load once a visitor actually scrolls near them.

Fixed

• Corrected a couple of spots on the site that still said "two-person team" after the crew size language was updated to three-person.
• Fixed a styling bug that was silently affecting the padding on the homepage's main "Get Your Free Quote" button.
